Sian Davies, Founder at The Behavioural Architects, recently presented at the MRS Methodology in Context conference 2017.
Now in its third year, the London conference is an invaluable fixture for insight professionals. Research professionals, from some of the most resourceful and creative insight agencies, gather to give a balanced view of the demands being made of them, the work they undertake and the implications for consumers, citizens and the insight business.
Sian's talk was entitled 'Unlocking the power of sensory: leveraging sensory and behavioural insights to supercharge innovation'. In it, she explored why many products fail because too little attention is paid to creating a truly seamless consumer experience, and explained how sensory and behavioural insights can guide early stage innovation. She illustrated how to detect and identify non-conscious multi-sensory cues, and how a 360° sensory and behavioural understanding of brand, pack and product can create more powerful propositions.
Sian has over 25 years experience as a marketing consultant and researcher. Her expertise spans qualitative and quantitative research methods and workshop facilitation, with a specific focus on behaviour change.
