Behavioural economics (BE) is still very much a buzzword in most sectors, even after breaking into mainstream thinking several years ago. In fact it is now rare to find someone who hasn’t come across the concept of ‘nudging’.
In something of a salute to this, we have launched a new series of articles over the next 12 months to take our readers on a 360 degree tour of how behavioural science is transforming our lives 24/7; how it is shaping better outcomes for us, enhancing communications, increasing our engagement and response rates and making us healthier and better off.
- Our second article, 'How BE helps us to live healthier lifestyles' analyses how behavioural insights are inspiring new ways to help us to eat more healthily, get fitter, stop smoking, drink less, or lose a little weight.
- Our third article, ‘How BE is nudging us to be a more giving society' considers how new insights and findings, particularly our understanding of societal norms, are being applied to encourage donations to charity.
Look out for more articles on the same topic which will be published later this year.
